For many years, Bishop Martel Cole carried the vision of leading the ministry God entrusted to him. The conception of Mount of God Tabernacle started with Bishop Cole going on a three-day fast seeking God about the change he needed to make.  During that time, he received a call from someone who asked how many days he had been fasting. When he replied that it had been three days, the caller told him that God was saying he should continue for seven days instead of three. On the last day of the seven-day fasting, he prayed and while praying the Lord spoke to him and told him that He is giving him the authority to move on. The Lord also assured him that He would send a word, and that when it came, it would be so clear that no explanation would be needed.

Bishop Cole then gathered his family and shared the revelation, telling them that God had given him authority to move forward. Though he did not know how long it would take, he was committed to waiting on the Lord.

Two days later, he received a call from Jamaica and the caller told him that she saw him in a vision in a church filled with people, and he responded by saying “Thank God I have my own church.”  She then explained that a man in the vision responded, “It is not yours, it is the Lord’s, and you are to take care of the people.” She also said that the Lord had given her the name of the church, but she was awakened before she could remember it fully. The only detail she retained was that the name began with the letter “M.” Bishop Cole then said to her, “Go back to God and ask Him for the name because this is very significant because I just got off of a seven-day fast two days ago and God told me that He was going to send me a confirming word.” She started glorifying God.

One week later, Bishop Cole called her to see if she received the Word from God, and she said no.  She told him that she asked others to pray with her for the revelation of the Word.  Two weeks later, Bishop Cole received a message asking him to call her. When he did, she told him she had received another vision. This time, she saw him in a church once again filled with people, ministering in a healing service. As she looked above the church door, she saw the words “Mount of God.” Being the man he is, he looked up the meaning of the word “Mount” which means “to rise,” “to ascend,” or “mountain.” He then added the word Tabernacle, meaning sanctuary or dwelling place. In this way, the name Mount of God Tabernacle was born. Mount of God Tabernacle, a bible-based ministry that believes in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost as well as divine healing and deliverance.
